CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) Northeast beat Cane Ridge 70-51 in a sub-state game Monday night at home.

With this win, Northeast moves on to the state tournament next week and Cane Ridge goes home.

The Eagles came out strong and held the lead for the whole game. Northeast played excellent team basketball. Stephon Dougherty had a great game with 28 points. Point guard Quinton Cross’ ball handling skills were just unreal. Alec Kegler had 14 points on the night.

After the game, the team ceremoniously took turns cutting a piece of the net. Coach Stigall finished the job and brought the net down.
