CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Over 200 people gathered at the baseball fields behind Norman Smith Elementary School for the first annual Fun Run Oct. 23
The purpose of the run was to raise money for the physical education department. There were 106 participants registered, allowing the PTO to present the PE department with a $500 check.
Medals were given to the top finisher and each grade level, friend and family participant, staff member, as well as most spirited runner and the runner with the best sportsmanship.
The participants logged in 2,275 laps which equaled 284.4 miles during the two hour event.
