FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Fort Campbell officials are investigating a shooting on post this week.
According to Fort Campbell PAO Maj. Meiners, a fight broke out between several individuals on the evening of Monday, September 17. Fort Campbell Police were told shots were fired into the air during the altercation.
Police responded to the scene and took multiple people into custody.
Maj. Meiners said there were no significant injuries and no one was hit by gunfire.
“Fort Campbell is committed to protecting the safety of its soldiers and residents, and a full investigation is ongoing,” he said in a statement.
