CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Late-night commuters taking 101st Airborne Division Parkway should expect to see delays due to construction in the coming weeks.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has been making preparations all week to begin a major resurfacing project on SR 374 from the bridge over US 79/Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to the bridge over US 41A/Fort Campbell Boulevard, in both directions. The project also includes bridge expansion joint repair.
Currently, the contractor for the project, Charles Deweese Construction, has begun overnight milling work and may have lane closures in place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The contract amount is $3.9 million, with a completion date of Oct. 31.
As always, drivers should obey posted signage and speed limits, as fines are higher when workers are present. The maximum fine for those convicted of speeding in a work zone with workers present is $500 plus court fees.
