CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The Night Stalker Association (NSA) and The Dirtbag Duo are hosting the inaugural Night Stalker Ultras, a 97-mile, 100k or 50k run, that will be held at Land Between the Lake (LBL) in May.

The run will take place on May 2-3, 2020 at the LBL National Recreation Area, along the North/South (N/S) Trail and will span the entire length of LBL.  All distances for this race will be an out and back, with the start line and finish line at the Piney Campground, where full-service camping sites will be available, at the southern-most portion of LBL.

The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR (A)), known as the ”Night Stalkers,” is the world’s premier night fighting aviation force and the Army’s only Special Operations Aviation Regiment, and to date has experienced the loss of 97 of its brave and dedicated warriors.

Each mile of the 97-mile distance is dedicated to the lives lost taking the fight to the enemy abroad.

Additional information, registration for the event, accommodations, and volunteer signup available Here.

All participants will receive an NSA Ultras T-shirt and additional gifts.  All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and those who complete the 97-miles will receive a special buckle. Custom awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each distance.

Following the event, homemade food and snacks will be available to all participants. Everything will wrap up at approximately 1 p.m. on  May, 3rd.

Food donations are being accepted prior to share with finishers after they cross the finish line. Tennessee Valley Brewing Company will be at the finish line to reward runners with crafted beers.

About the Night Stalker Association

The NSA is a non-profit organization created in the late 1980s and is organized under IRC 501(c)(19) as a War Veterans’ Organization. Contributions to the NSA are therefore tax-deductible under IRC 170(c)(3) and serve to preserve the memories and comradeship kindled by the mutual experience of service with the 160th SOAR (A) and to render assistance to Night Stalker members and families, and our fallen brothers surviving families, through means of college grants, loans, special financial assistance, camaraderie building events, and personal guidance.
