CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans night paving along US 41-Alternate in the Ft. Campbell area of christian County starting at 6 p.m. today.

This paving project along US 41-Alternate/Ft. Campbell Boulevard is being scheduled at night to help minimize traffic delays. This work zone will include milling and paving along US 41-Alternate from the Kentucky-Tennessee State line starting at mile point 0.0 extending northward through the Ft. Campbell area to the KY 117/Auburn Street intersection at mile point 3.967.

The contractor will confine paving activities and support activities to a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., CDT, work schedule. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.

Rogers Group is the prime contractor on this $1.9 million highway improvement project. The work has a September 1 target completion date, weather permitting.
