CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) cut the ribbon Wednesday on its new Clarksville Community Based Outpatient Clinic at 782 Weatherly Drive.
At 34,000 square feet, the new building is more than three times the size of the current clinic. The bigger facility will allow expanded access to Veterans in and around Montgomery County. TVHS has also increased the patient-aligned care teams from six to ten, enabling the clinic to serve about 4,000 more area Veterans.
This includes new patients as well as many Clarksville area Veterans who are currently traveling to Dover, Bowling Green, Hopkinsville or Nashville for care. All this will bring Veterans a continually improving experience within TVHS.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity to improve our service to Veterans,” said Jennifer Vedral-Baron, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Director. “Clarksville is among the largest communities we serve, and the demand for VA health care here continues to grow.”
The new facility replaces the Clarksville VA clinic on Memorial Drive. All services will relocate to the new facility on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
TVHS is an integrated tertiary health care system comprised of two hospitals, the Alvin C. York Campus in Murfreesboro and the Nashville Campus, as well as more than a dozen community-based outpatient clinics located in Tennessee and Kentucky.
TVHS provides ambulatory care, primary care, and secondary care in acute medicine and surgery, specialized tertiary care, transplant services, spinal cord injury outpatient care, and a full range of extended care and mental health services.
