CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A new trailer paid for by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office for use in events and sobriety checkpoints will debut this weekend.

“We got the trailer in November, but just got it decaled recently,” said Sgt. Jimmy Brown. “We use it for sobriety checkpoints, child safety seat events and other traffic enforcement presentations to educate the public on traffic safety.”

“We are thankful to the Governor’s Highway Safety Office for their continued partnership with our traffic safety campaigns here in Montgomery County,” said Sheriff John Fuson. “The equipment and overtime salaries that come from GHSO grant funds help us to stay ahead of traffic-related injuries and deaths on our roadways. Our goal is to increase traffic safety and these tools help us accomplish that.”
