HOPKINSVILLE, KY. – (CLARKSVILLENOW.COM) Thompson Thrift Retail Group recently completed the acquisition of approximately 20 acres at Ft. Campbell Blvd. and Lovers’ Lane in Hopkinsville.
The site will soon be home to a newly proposed 185,000 square foot shopping center named Hopkinsville Towne Center.
The project will be anchored by national retailers such as TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Burke’s Outlet, Hobby Lobby, PetSmart and Rack Room Shoes.
In addition, the developer is working with a several additional national and regional retailers and restaurants and expects the development to be 100% leased upon completion in late summer 2017.
Chris Hake of Thompson Thrift has been working with City and County officials on the development of the proposed shopping center since mid-2012.
“Former Mayor Dan Kemp, current Mayor Carter Hendricks, City Manager Nate Pagan, economic development Executive Director Mitch Robinson and several other members of the City and County played an enormous role in making this project a reality,” he said.
