NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Gov. Haslam has signed a bill into law that will allow delivery services to bring up to a gallon of alcohol per customer per delivery.

WKRN News 2 reports that the law will go into effect July 1. Third party services like GrubHub and Delivery Dudes will be able to stop at liquor stores to pick up the customer’s beverage.

Delivery drivers will be required to have a license to deliver the alcohol be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and submit to a background check.

The drivers will also be responsible for checking that the customer is not a minor.
