CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Domino’s in Clarksville, located at 1206 State Highway 48, is throwing a grand opening celebration in honor of its new “pizza theater” on Thursday, June 1.
In celebration of the opening, the store will offer medium one-topping carryout pizzas for $3.99 all day long. All of the sales from the carryout special will go directly to Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department.
“I’m thrilled to now have a Domino’s location that can deliver to our friends in downtown Clarksville as well as across the river,” said Antonio Murgas, Clarksville Domino’s franchise owner. “I’m equally excited to be able to support the Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department as well. We are donating 100 percent of our proceeds from the $3.99 carryout deal on June 1 to them, and we hope members of the community come check out our new store and support the fire department.”
The new Clarksville store features the pizza theater design which allows flexibility for a number of elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to the “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include a comfortable lobby, indoor seating for 12 people, outdoor seating for 16, free Wi-Fi, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features a chalkboard to allow customers to express their creativity or to leave feedback for team members.
Murgas grew up in Clarksville and began working at Domino’s as a part-time pizza maker in 1998. He opened his first store in 2008 and now owns five Domino’s locations throughout Clarksville. He is not alone – more than 90 percent of Domino’s U.S. franchise owners began their career as part-time delivery drivers or pizza makers.
