CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – In response to confusion, phone system failures and frustration with the vaccine rollout, the state of Tennessee on Wednesday added a new website portal and phone number to improve appointment services for COVID-19 vaccinations.
The vaccine registration website for Montgomery County is www.signupgenius.com/go/Montgomery_Priority_List. This website is open only to those who are in the current phase, according to a news release from county spokeswoman Michelle Newell.
This is the first time a signup website has been officially released to the public. A similar signup site had previously been distributed privately by email to many people in Clarksville and has been used by some 75 and older to get vaccinations, according to previous Clarksville Now reports.
Tennessee has now set up a call center with the number 866-442-5301 to assist in scheduling appointments. You can also call the Montgomery County Health Department at 931-648-5747.
Montgomery County is currently vaccinating three groups of people:
- Phase 1a1: In-patient health care providers, first responders with direct exposure to the public and staff members and residents of long-term care facilities.
- Phase 1a2: Those primarily working in outpatient health care settings.
- Montgomery County citizens 75 and older.
“Please do not attempt to register by accessing the registration website or by calling the phone number provided to help with registration unless you meet the criteria for the current phase,” Newell said. “Verification will be requested on-site before vaccinations will be administered.”
To determine when you’re eligible, visit the COVID-19 information portal at mcgtn.org.
Correction: The county accidentally provided an incorrect phone number for the Health Department. The correct number is 931-648-5747. The article has been updated.
