CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A new Christian film premiering in theaters Friday, September 7 explores a young mother’s journey after her husband dies in Afghanistan.
God Bless the Broken Road comes from director Harold Cronk, who recently directed another inspirational Christian film, God’s Not Dead. While this story is fictional, shots from the trailer show that the characters in the film appear to be based on 101st soldiers and the story is set in the Clarksville/Fort Campbell area.
According to the official website, the movie tells the story of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their young daughter in his absence. The film combines elements of faith, country music, and stock car racing while paying tribute to those who serve in the United States military.
Singer Jordin Sparks also appears in the film.
The movie premieres Friday and tickets can be purchased at Regal Clarksville Stadium 16.
