Nestor “Al” Alvarez, age 88 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at his residence.
Al was born on August 13, 1933 in Key West, FL to the late Nestor F. Alvarez and Sarah Esperdy Alvarez. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, SarahJean Alvarez and son-in-law, Timothy Bates.
Al proudly served 28 years in the United States Army and 22 years in Civil Service.
He is survived by his son, Ronnie (Renae) Alvarez; daughters: Denise A. (Jimmy) Mitchell, Amy Bates; brother, Henry Alvarez; sisters: Clara Connelly, Sylvia Holt; 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
