Manna Café’s warming shelter at First Baptist Church provided a warm, safe place to stay to escape below-freezing temperatures this week in Clarksville.
About 133 people volunteered to help, and nearly 190 people stayed at the shelter at some point Sunday through Wednesday.
The following is a list of corporate donors who helped make the warming shelter possible:
• American Red Cross – cots, blankets, pillows
• First Baptist Church – facilities
• Little Caesar’s – 15 pizzas for dinner Tuesday night
• Canyon Road Steakhouse and Beer Garden – leftover food on Sunday
• Starbucks – cambro of coffee on Monday night
• All-American Storage – free 10×20 storage unit for 60 days
• Community Action – $200 worth of 1 day bus passes
• City Transportation – bundle of 1 ride bus passes
• Seay Oil Company – $500 worth of Visa gift cards
