CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Local MMA fighter Nate “The Train” Landwehr is set to take on Movsar Evloev in a featherweight bout Saturday, Dec. 5 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fighters will face off as former champions after each captured titles with the Russian-based fighting promotion M1-Global.
Evloev carries an unbeaten (13-0, 3-0 UFC) record inside the octagon after picking up wins over Seung Woo Choi, Enrique Barzola and Mike Grundy. The 26-year-old has yet to record a finish on the UFC circuit, with all of his wins coming by unanimous decision.
After dropping his UFC debut to Herbert Burns in January, Landwehr bounced back with an impressive win over the veteran Darren Elkins back in May. Landwehr is now 14-3 (1-1 UFC) in his fighting career.
The 32-year-old Landwehr trains at Wildside Combat Sports Center in Clarksville.
The UFC Fight Night card’s main event will be a middleweight bout featuring Jack Hermansson and Marvin Vettori.
