CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville native and current UFC fighter Nate “The Train” Landwehr is scheduled to make his highly anticipated return to the octagon Saturday, Feb. 20, at UFC Fight Night. The event will take place live at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Landwehr (14-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) is set to face off against Julian Erosa (23-8 MMA, 2-4 UFC) in a featherweight bout on the fifth preliminary fight of the undercard.

The 32-year-old’s last fight took place on May 16, 2020, when Landwehr defeated the UFC veteran Darren Elkins by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 8: Overeem vs. Harris.

Landwehr’s upcoming opponent, Erosa, won his previous contest in the third round after submitting Sean Woodson with a D’Arce choke.

Due to COVID-19, Landwehr has lost out on two potential fights with the first scheduled to take place in September against Shane Young and the second with Russia’s Movsar Evloev set for December.

Landwehr continues to train locally at Wildside Combat Sports Center in Clarksville with his coaches Christian Nielsen and Mike Merriman.

The prelims begin at 4 p.m. and both cards will air on ESPN+.

The main event will feature a heavyweight bout between No. 2-ranked Curtis Blaydes and No. 4-ranked Derrick Lewis.
