NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The owner of The Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville has bought the building the popular attraction is located in to make way for an expansion.
The Tennessean reports the owner, Bill Miller, paid $2.7 million for the building south of Broadway. The expansion would add a third floor for special events and a doubling of the size of the first floor gift shop.
Miller says work should begin on the 21,000 square foot building by December. The new third floor will be able to accommodate 800 people and the facility’s existing events space will be converted into museum space.
