CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Nashville Kats have compiled a six-game winning streak over the last several weeks, which has earned them the top spot in the AF1 standings.
Currently, Nashville has a record of 8-1, while they have scored the most points in the AF1 up to this point with 538. The Albany Firebirds are ranked second in points scored with 532, and that’s with the team playing one additional game, then the Kats.

While Nashville’s offensive unit continues to play efficiently and effectively, the Kats have also given up the second-least number of points on the season with 330. The Washington Wolfpack’s defense leads the league in points allowed with 308.
Kats head coach Darren Arbet told Clarksville Now that both sides of the ball have played well throughout the season, and they continue to improve each week.
The Nashville Kats will next face the Beaumont Renegades on Saturday, June 27, at F&M Bank Arena, according to the team’s website.
Then, the Kats will have their regular season conclude with two away games against the Washington Wolfpack on Friday, July 3, and the Albany Firebirds on Saturday, July 11.
When asked about expectations to finish out the season, Arbet said, “We haven’t played a complete game yet; we just want to be playing mistake-free football, and as long as we do, our goals can be obtained.”
The Arena Football League playoffs are scheduled to kick off July 24-26.
