NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Several flights out of Nashville to the Carolina’s are cancelled as Hurricane Florence approaches the east coast.

As of 6 a.m. Thursday, 10 flights to and from Raleigh Durham and Charlotte, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach and  Charleston, South Carolina were cancelled.

More than 1,000 flights nationwide are cancelled because of Hurricane Florence’s projected path to the East Coast.

The storm was downgraded to a category 2 storm with winds of 110 mph.

The storm is expected to make landfall early Friday.
