CW3 Nash Montgomery (Ret.) answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labors and enter into eternal peace on Saturday, February 26, 2022.
Nash, son to Nash Dennis Montgomery and Alice Darling Montgomery began his earthly journey on July 26, 1954, in West Point, Mississippi. His parents precede him in death.
He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of New Life Non-Denominational Church diligently serving as a trustee.
Nash received his education in the Clay County School System of Mississippi and was a graduate of West Point High School with the Class of 1973. Furthering his education, he attended the University of Maryland and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW3) before retiring. He served as the Assistant Director of Career Services at Old Dominion University, Director of Career Services at Norfolk State University, administrator at The Challenge Program in Virginia Beach, V.A., before retiring a final time in October 2019.
On May 5, 1973, Nash united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Frankie Mae and they were the proud parents of two children.
Nash loved spending time with family and friends. He was an avid sports enthusiast and real estate enthusiast. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.
He leaves to cherish the precious memories his wife of 48 years, Frankie Mae Montgomery, Clarksville, TN; children: Nash D. Montgomery, II, Baltimore, MD and Tammy D. Knoll, Wood Bridge, VA; two grandchildren; brother, Floyd Montgomery, Colorado Springs, CO; uncle, Lenora Darling and a host of relatives and friends.
Viewing Thursday, March 3, 2022 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God. Interment 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Kentucky with full military honors. Celebration of Life 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at First Assembly of God.
