CLARKSVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 25, 2016— Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union is proud to announce it will change its name to Fortera Credit Union, effective February 29, 2016.

The credit union’s leadership team and board of directors spent months conducting extensive research and analysis with its members and non-members to determine how the credit union’s name was perceived in the community, as well as how a new name would help future growth. During the research, the team learned that the Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union name created confusion with potential members who were uncertain if they could join if they were not affiliated with Fort Campbell Military Base.

“We are open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in any of our five county service areas and we believe our name should better reflect all those we currently serve, as well as those we have the opportunity to serve,” commented Tom Kane, President/CEO.

In addition to a new name, the credit union will begin using a new tagline: “Wherever life takes you.”

“As more and more people join Fortera, we want our members to know they can keep their relationships with us wherever they go. Whether it’s another city, another state, or even another country, you can take Fortera with you,” said Tom Denney, Chairman of the Board.

The credit union will undergo changes to exterior signage, brochures, stationary, and branch interiors. Their website, Mobile Banking app, and Online Banking will have a fresh new look as well.
