Myrtle Gray Howell, age 96, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014.
She was born February 27, 1918, in Dover, TN, to the late Duncan Gray and Doshie Miran Gray. Myrtle was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Howell.
Mrs. Howell was a devoted mother, homemaker, and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jessie Tharpe and Dr. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, in Trenton, KY.
Visitation will be on from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, July 7, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric Larson, Barry Howell, Mitchell Howell, Tommy Arnold, Steve Thompson, and Forrest Suiter.
Myrtle is survived by two daughters, Mabel Larson (Harry), and Patsy Richmond (Bill), both of Clarksville; two sons, David Howell (Shirley), of Trenton, KY, and Jerry Howell (Janie), of Clarksville; eight grandchildren, Lisa Arnold, Donna Thompson, Michael Howell, Eric Larson, Sherrie Larson, Barry Howell, Mitchell Howell, and Ashley Howell; six great grandchildren, Brittney Huber, David Howell, Hunter Howell, Carrie Thompson, Rachael Howell, and Katie Grace Larson; and two great-great grandchildren, Dylon and Austin Huber.
