Myrtle Louise Hagewood, age 92, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.

Myrtle was born November 5, 1922 in Halls, TN. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville, where she faithfully attended the Joy Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Hagewood was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Hagewood, Sr.; and one sister, Maybelle Leto.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Riley and Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Burial will follow at Hagewood-Hand Cemetery, in Southside, TN. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Myrtle is survived by her son, John (Glenda) Hagewood, Jr. of Jacksonville, AR; two daughters, Sylvia Clardy and Sheila (David) Phillips both of Clarksville; brother, Kenneth (Sarah) Palmer of Batesville, MS; sister, Lorene (Pete) Sisoy of Detroit, MI; six grandchildren, Melanie (Joel) Bass, Angela (James) Figueroa, Brian Ray (Donna) Hagewood, Chad Phillips, Greg Hagewood, and Jason (Brittney) Phillips; and nine great grandchildren, Austin Phillips, Lauren Hagewood, Alyssa Phillips, Alyssa Hagewood, Jackson Bass, Emilee Hagewood, Bradley Figueroa, Hunter Hagewood, and Gabriella Aaron.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hagewood, Chad Phillips, Jason Phillips, Greg Hagewood, Joel Bass, and James Figueroa. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Phillips and Jackson Bass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 435 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; or to the Park Lane Church of the Nazarene FUEL Program, 225 Cunningham Lane, Clarksville, TN 37042.
