CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Murray State University will close all of its offices Friday, August 3, in anticipation of an appearance of Oliver North, president of the NRA.

The closure will last from 3-9:30 p.m. This includes satellite campuses in Hopkinsville and at Ft. Campbell.

According to WKMS, the closure is to accommodate what is expected to be a larger-than-usual number of people on campus.  This includes potential protestors who disagree with North’s views and his appearance at the university.

North’s appearance at Murray State is being hosted by the Republican parties of Marshall County and Calloway County.
