CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The man accused of the brutal murder of a 20-year-old pregnant woman is scheduled to stand trial in February 2020.
Quentin Dean Bird is charged with the murder of 20-year-old Allison Tenbarge.
Bird is accused of killing Tenbarge on April 19, 2017, at an apartment on Fairview Lane in Clarksville.
According to previous reports, Tenbarge went to the apartment to retrieve property from Bird, who was her ex-boyfriend.
Tenbarge was eight months pregnant at the time of her death.
Police also said Tenbarge suffered blunt force trauma and sustained sharp force injuries to her head and body.
Allison Tenbarge was from Evansville, Indiana and the daughter of Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Lieutenant, Kenneth Tenbarge.
Following the murder, Bird fled Clarksville and was located in Kuttawa, Ky.
Bird is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree murder in preparation of a crime and two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping.
A trial conference was held on Jan. 24, 2020 and his case has been marked certain for trial.
Jury selection will be on Feb. 21.
Bird’s trial is scheduled to begin on Feb. 24. in Judge Jill Ayer’s court.
