CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Gas and Water has scheduled multiple water outages and road closures for Wednesday.

A water outage and road closure is planned for Wednesday night, September 10, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. until midnight on Hickory Grove Boulevard for water valve replacement work.

The outage will affect Hickory Grove Boulevard from South Riverside Drive to Sunset Drive and will also include McGregor Drive, Davidson Drive, Forrest Drive, Irving Lane and Buck Drive.

Hickory Grove Boulevard will also be closed to one lane of traffic from Riverside Drive to McGregor Drive and McGregor will be closed from Hickory Grove to Dean Drive.

The work is anticipated to be finished and water restored by midnight.

Construction crews will begin a water valve replacement project between Ninth and Red River streets on Wednesday, September, 10, 2014 through September 19, 2014.

Weather permitting; work will begin daily at 8:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m.

Residents on Hyman, Carpenter, Saint John, Poston and Sampson streets will also be included in the replacement project and will experience periods of water loss or low water pressure during the work.

It may also be necessary to close the affected streets to one lane of traffic at the work site. Updates will be reported as work progresses.

Clarksville Gas and Water has also closed a section of Franklin Street between Seventh Street and University Avenue to repair a water service line.

Traffic will be detoured to Seventh Street and University Avenue.

The repair is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 1:00 p.m.
