CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Five or more people were injured when gunfire broke out at a party early Saturday morning in Clarksville.

Police are investigating the shooting in the 100 block of Tiny Town Road, according to a news release from police Detective Michael Patterson.

“Multiple victims received gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals. Their condition is unknown at this time,” Patterson said.

No further information was immediately confirmed, including the time of the shooting or the number of people injured.

The shooting was near Tiny Town Road and Fort Campbell Boulevard and was reported at about 1:19 a.m., according to Clarksville Now partner Dash 10 Media.

There were five people injured: One was taken by LifeFlight, three were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and another person was taken by personal vehicle to the hospital, according to Dash 10 accounts of dispatch traffic.

A potential sixth victim was also taken by personal vehicle to the hospital.

Witnesses reported on the Clarksville-Montgomery County Crimewatch page that the incident happened during a party, and people nearby heard gunfire that sounded like firecrackers going off.
