CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several Clarksville-area student athletes have qualified for the 2025 TSSAA track state championships, which will be held from May 20-22 at Dean A. Hayes Stadium in Murfreesboro.

On the girls’ side, Northeast’s Kayla Prince, Symphanie Browne, Alissa Davis and Neveah Quinn qualified for the 4x200M relay. Quinn also qualified for the pentathlon, while Aaliyah Miller and TiaAhna Hamilton will represent the Eagles in the triple and high jump, respectively. Kenwood’s Marie Jones qualified for both the shot put and discus.

From Northwest High, Gabrielle Taylor qualified for both the pentathlon and high jump, while Gabrielle John-Baptiste qualified for the 300M hurdles. Finally, the Kirkwood relay team of Gabrielle Bailey, Mya Brooks, Nijah Johnson and Courtney Weyand qualified for the 4×100.

For the boys, two athletes qualified for field events with Northeast’s Jo’sia Harris in the high jump, and Kirkwood’s Joshua Basden in the long jump. Finally, Rossview High qualified for two events, with Micah Parker in the 400M, and the team of Parker, Cade Deterding, Cassius Powe and Gavin Showers qualifying in the 400M.

All of these athletes will compete for a state title in their respective events. Last year at the state championships, Kristen Desantis highlighted Clarksville athletes with her state championship in the pole vault.
