CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A crash that closed a stretch of Interstate 24 in Montgomery County Wednesday claimed the life of a Clarksville man.
DRIVER"S ALERT- There is an injury crash I-24 westbound (going toward KY) around the 2.8 mile marker. THP will be working the crash, Traffic is being diverted off the interstate at Exit 4. It will be closed for an undetermined amount of time. Find an alternate route.

26 year old Thomas Blackford was killed when his car rear-ended a tractor trailer near mile-marker 2.8 just before 3:30 p.m.
The truck driver, identified as 58 year old Vasyl Unhuryan was not injured.
Traffic was diverted off the interstate at Exit 4, Wilma Rudolph Blvd. and Warfield Blvd.
No charges were filed in the case.
