CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) — The Goodwill Career Solutions center at 2001 Needmore Road in Clarksville will host a job fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, for two employers seeking to fill 30 positions in Dover, Clarksville and Oak Grove, Ky.
Employers include Denny’s Restaurant and Veterans Placement Services. Openings include server, host, cook, dishwasher, shift manager, assistant manager and production. Rates of pay reach $30,000 annually, depending on experience and background.
Representatives from these companies will be on-site and interviews are possible, so job-seekers should dress for success. Job candidates are encouraged to bring a resume, photo ID and their Social Security card or birth certificate.
During the job fair, participants will also have a chance to take part in a practice interview with a member of Leadership Middle Tennessee Class of 2016 or alumnus of that leadership program. These executives and decision-makers from area businesses and organizations will provide instant feedback that will be helpful in preparing participants for future interviews. They volunteered to conduct interviews at Goodwill Career Solutions centers across the region as a class project.
Participating Leadership Middle Tennessee representatives will include: Austin Peay State University Director of Community and Business Relations and Executive Assistant to the President Carol Clark and Montgomery County Government Chief of Staff Jeff Truitt.
This event is one of many job fairs taking place during the week of April 11. A complete list of job fairs taking place at Goodwill’s 28 Career Solutions centers can be found at www.goodwillcareersolutions.org. More information on this job fair can also be obtained by calling (931) 241-4730.
