CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Representatives of Middle Tennessee State University will be in Clarksville on Thursday, October 10, at TownePlace Suites, 120 Fair Brook Place, Clarksville, Tenn. The event is the seventh stop on MTSU’s annual True Blue Tour.

The True Blue Tour covers 14 cities across four states. MTSU administrators, deans, admissions and financial aid staff, advisers and university officials will be available to help prospective high schools students, transfers and graduate students prepare for college.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a luncheon for counselors and community college staff followed by a student reception at 6 p.m.

Students will have a chance to discuss various scholarship opportunities offered by the university, including the recently announced True Blue Scholarship, which provides $8,000 to qualifying students for four years, and the Presidential Scholarship, which provides $18,000 to qualifying students for four years.

Middle Tennessee State University was recently ranked as one of the best universities in the U.S. by the Princeton Review. The school has seen significant growth in several programs, including fermentation science, aerospace, recording industry and more.

The university is currently in the process of constructing a $39 million building to house its College of Behavioral and Health Sciences.
