CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce cut a ribbon Friday, July 9 welcoming Ms. Pete’s Place and Ms. Pete’s Catering Corporation.

Owner Lacita Mason said the sign outside Ms. Pete’s restaurant says it all.  “It’s not just soul food, It’s food for the soul.”

Mason said the name Ms. Pete’s Place is for the restaurant, and for her catering service, the same name comes from her grandmother, Ms. Pete, who passed away five years ago.

“She loved to cook, and she loved to feed people, and I’m doing what she did. They adopted so many families, they fed everybody that came through, it was just home for everybody. That’s the feeling I want everybody to have when they come here. It feels like home,” said Mason.

Ms. Pete’s restaurant can be found at 2185-C Wilma Rudolph Blvd. and they are open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. – 3p.m.
