CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The second Movies in the Park event of the season, “Sing,” a 2016 animated PG comedy for kids, will be shown on Saturday, June 12, at Heritage Park near the dog park.

Activities will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the movie at sunset, around 8 p.m., according to a news release from Clarksville Parks & Recreation.

Pre-show activities include:

  • Former contestant on NBC’s “The Voice”, Emma Lee, will perform live at 7 p.m.
  • Loaves & Fishes will provide free buckets of popcorn to the first 100 guests. All participants will receive a $1 off popcorn when they present their 2021 Movies in the Park popcorn bucket, all season.
  • Crafts with Artlink and Little Learners University.
  • Glowsticks giveaway as part of Grandparents Glow Night presented by United Way.
  • Drawstring bags giveaway by Clarksville Parks & Recreation.

This month’s event will no longer use social distancing squares. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to find their spot on the grass. Blankets, chairs, and other picnic items are welcome. Alcohol and pets are prohibited during the event.

Movies in the Park is presented by Kyrstin Frate with Keller Williams. Additional sponsors – Altra Federal Credit Union, Union Home Mortgage, Youth Villages, Allstate, Premier Medical Group and Urgent Team – will be set up along with a variety of food trucks.
