CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) –  Movies in the Park, the City of Clarksville’s free, outdoor movie series, will continue its 14th season on Saturday, August 17 at Liberty Park with “Ready Player One.”

Pre-show activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. and include a video game trailer equipped with XBox 360, XBox One and Wii stations, provided by U Jumpin’ Foulks.

Representatives from APSU’s GIS Center will be in attendance as well offering a virtual reality experience. Tour campus or ride a digital roller coaster before the film.

The movie will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.

Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, food and drinks. Strike Out Wings and Berry Bear Frozen Yogurt will be available for food and drink purchases. Pets and alcohol are not permitted.

In the event of rain, outdoor movie screenings may have to be canceled or rescheduled. Please refer to The Movies in the Park Facebook page, for updates about weather cancellations.

There are two more Movies in the Park events planned for the 2019 season. They are as follows:

  • Sept. 21: “Mary Poppins Returns” at Liberty Park.
  • Oct. 12: “The Karate Kid” at Liberty Park.
