CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle wreck around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2 that led to traffic being diverted from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard for a few hours as they investigated what turned into a fatal crash.

A 2007 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman was southbound on Wilma Rudolph Blvd and attempted a left turn to S. Hampton Place.  A 2004 Suzuki motorcycle ridden by a 22-year-old man was northbound on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

The Hyundai and Suzuki collided in the intersection.

The motorcycle rider was transported to Tennova Medical Center and was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.

The names of those involved have not been released.

The lead investigator is Officer Harris.
