CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) An early morning fire Tuesday has displaced a family of eight on 2495 Old Timber Ct. in Clarksville. Clarksville Fire Rescue Deputy Fire Chief Ray Williams said the call came in shortly after midnight and when Firefighters arrived they saw flames coming from the rear of the home.
Williams added that the fire was quickly extinguished but the house still suffered a significant amount of damage and the family will be displaced for a short time. No one living in the home or any Firefighters were injured and volunteers with the Tennessee River Chapter of the American Red Cross responded with comfort items and assistance for the family’s immediate needs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Clarksville Fire Rescue.
