CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Water Garden Society is now looking for another pond to display on its self-guided Tour of Ponds taking place on June 20.
MCWGS believes that all ponds, from koi to water garden variety, are unique with no two being exactly alike. Any individuals who wish to display a pond do not need to be a member of MCWGS.
The 2015 Tour of Ponds currently includes six local ponds. Tickets will be available at Dave’s Small Engines located at 2480 Highway 41A Bypass and at Rural King located at 1141 Fort Campbell Blvd on the day of the tour. Tickets will be $12 for the general public, $10 for military with a valid ID and free for children under 12 years old. Ticket price includes entry into a drawing for door prizes and a picnic dinner at Billy Dunlop Park. The tour2is a biennial fundraiser for the group.
The Montgomery County Water Garden Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1999. The group of over 75 members is “dedicated to the further education and enjoyment of ponds and water gardening in the Clarksville, Montgomery County areas of Tennessee,” according to their website.
