To qualify as a finalist, the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition had to demonstrate the ability to generate solutions to improving the veteran’s experience with the VA and building trust, increasing access to and navigation of VA and non-VA services, and communicating VA benefits and services with effective outreach strategies.

Montgomery County Mayor Wes Golden said, “The work the Veterans Coalition is performing in our community continues to positively impact many of our organizations and a large portion of our population here in Montgomery County.  They deserve this national recognition and much more. Montgomery County is better and stronger because of the Veterans Coalition and the resources they provide for our veteran community.”

The MCVC (Montgomery County Veterans Coalition) mission is to advocate for our Veteran community through education, collaboration, and resourcing.
