CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition is proud to announce the addition of Jeff Truitt, Chief Executive Officer for the Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council (EDC). Truitt will be joining the Executive Board of the Montgomery County Veterans Coalition.

As the leader of the EDC he is responsible for coordinating, promoting and ensuring economic development in Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as filling the role of the Director of the Aspire Clarksville Foundation, a privately funded, non-profit organization that helps to fund the initiatives of the EDC and its member entities.

At the EDC, Jeff applies his experience and passion for Clarksville-Montgomery County daily when sharing the story of our community and talent we have locally. Prior to coming on board as the EDC CEO, Truitt served as the Chief of Staff under Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, September 2014-Februray 2019. While there, he has played a key role in
managing the general operations for over 1,200 County employees.

Preceding his four and one-half years as County Chief of Staff, Truitt served as General Manager, and then Vice President for Dex Imaging where he started and grew the local branch into a multi-million-dollar location. He also previously worked for the Clarksville-based engineering firm, DBS & Associates where he directed and managed business development.

Jeff is a 26-year resident of Clarksville-Montgomery County and was brought to this community by the military. He will bring strong business, deep community leadership and a communications background to the board. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree from Austin Peay State University and is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Clarksville and a 2016 graduate of Leadership Middle Tennessee. Jeff and his wife, Kristi, have one daughter, Macy.

The Montgomery County Veterans Coalition brings together the community to share information, knowledge, support and resources in order to become a unified voice in advocating for veterans in our community by identifying issues and creating solutions, without the duplication of services.
