CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County rang in the new year with a balloon drop, drone show and the announcement of the winners of the Christmas in Clarksville and Deck the County lights contests.

For this second annual New Year’s Eve Party, the county tented Downtown Commons and offered live music and a dance floor, along with beverages, food trucks and more.

Lighting contest winners

The lighting contest nominees were selected from photos submitted to the Clarksville Now Christmas in Clarksville interactive map of holiday lights.

The 2024 Christmas in Clarksville residential lighting contest winners are:

  • Grand prize: Handmade Holidays on Raven, 1587 Raven Road
  • Runner-up: Springhaven Light Show, 1733 Spring Haven Drive
  • Runner-up: Jimmy Dean, 111 Charlemagne Blvd.

Handmade on Raven won a $300 award (to help pay for more lights next year!), and all three received ornaments and yard signs to commemorate their win.

The Deck the County: Holiday Business Showdown! winners are:

  • First place: Appleton Harley-Davidson
  • Second place: Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation
  • Third place: F&M Bank

Appleton Harley-Davidson received a plaque and a one-of-a-kind trophy designed by APSU art professor McLean Fahnestock to display at their place of business for the year.
