MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. – Montgomery County was recently named the 10th best county in the state by the real estate brokerage site, Motovoto.com.

All 95 of the counties in Tennessee were ranked by the website based on criteria such as unemployment, home price, graduation rate and household income.

The Motovoto Real Estate Blog post describes in detail the merits of the top ten counties, including the things that most add to the quality of life of the residents in each area.

The top ten counties named were: 1. Knox County, 2. Williamson County, 3. Sumner County, 4. Wilson County, 5.Rutherford County, 6. Blount County, 7. Hamilton County, 8.Washington County, 9.Davidson County, 10. Montgomery County.

Montgomery County made the list for restaurants such as the Blackhorse Pub & Brewery, the generally high income rate, and the low commute times and poverty rate. Motovoto writer Laura Allan also said, “The big selling point here was the second best high school graduation rate. In fact, almost 91 percent of local students graduated from high school here, which is a good sign for their futures and the future of the county.”
