CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Fire Department crews responded to a tobacco barn fire on Springdale Road Saturday morning, with heavy flames and smoke showing upon their arrival.
“Firefighters had to set up for rural water supply using dump tanks,” according to a MCFD Facebook post. “The fire was brought under control, but the barn, equipment and crop are a total loss.”
MCFD said the heat added an additional element to overcome while responding, and two firefighters were checked out following the incident for heat related reasons.
