CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the February Montgomery County informal and formal commission meetings will be closed to the public.
The decision is in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order regarding limiting public gatherings, and allowing public meetings to be conducted by electronic means, according to a county news release.
County commissioners and key county personnel will attend the meeting in person while practicing health and safety precautions.
The informal meeting, scheduled Feb. 1 at 6 p.m., and the formal meeting, scheduled Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., can be viewed, as always, on the Montgomery County YouTube Channel during the meeting or at any time afterward.
Members of the public who plan to address the commission about zoning cases on Feb. 1 may do so through an online program from the first-floor training room of the County Courthouse. A member of the staff will guide them through the process. Space in the training room will be limited and open on a first-come, first-served basis.
