CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Tennessee Sports Writers Association has announced its selections for the All-State team for cross country. Montgomery Central High School sophomore runner Avery Young earned a spot on the 2A team, the youngest member of the selections.
Young placed fifth in the TSSAA state championships this past year with a 5K time of 15:58.50 at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. He was the only member of the top 18 who competed as an individual. Young is also a member of the Indians basketball team, where he is the starting point guard.
