CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery Central Middle School hosted visitors from LG Electronics Friday as the local plant presented the school with a donation of three washers and three dryers to help with cleaning the students’ athletic clothing and uniforms.

“This is a huge donation,” said Principal Lisa Courson. “The students are going to be so excited about just having clean uniforms. We are an older school, so we don’t have an extra gym, or a weight room. We don’t have a lot of the accommodations that some of the other schools have, so this is a big surprise and a big accomplishment for them.”

Darnell Wilks, associate in the Innovation and Administration Department at LG Electronics, said they had received a request on behalf of the school for assistance and wanted to help.

They visited the school and found athletic uniforms that had not been washed in a while. It was difficult for the school staff and students to constantly take the clothing home and keep it washed and dried.
