CLARKSVILLE, TN – Montgomery Central hosted an exciting night of wrestling with the annual Best on Best Showcase, a night of exhibition matches featuring some of the best wrestlers in Montgomery County. The 26 matches featured primarily local CMCSS boys and girls varsity talent, though the night also included some middle school athletes.
“It was a great event that truly showcased our county’s talent,” said Montgomery Central head coach Steve Heberer.
The bleachers were full at Montgomery Central High, and Rexy the Dinosaur, the mascot of the Montgomery Central wrestling program, was entertaining the crowd and posing for pictures with children.
West Creek’s Stanford Thompson was named the boys’ Most Outstanding Wrestler, and Northwest’s Shyanne Michalski won the award for the girls.
