Monte Kaden Mitchell, age 68, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at his residence.

Monte was born March 25, 1947, in Princeton, KY, to the late Bobby Mitchell and Savannah Cummins Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell was a retired lieutenant with the Clarksville Police Department, having served for 31 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will follow in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, December 29, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Monte is survived by his wife, Brenda Teasley Mitchell; two daughters, Stacey (Bruce) Watts and Jinny (William) Bailey, both of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Devin Watts, Kyle Watts, and Jake Bailey.

Pallbearers will be Bert Clinard, Devin Watts, Kyle Watts, Larry Shultz, Eugene Grubbs, and Henry Trotter. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Clarksville Police Department.
