CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) KaLea Lehman is a Clarksville resident, Vanderbilt grad student and mother of four, and On October 21, at the Go Commando Half Marathon, she also hopes to add Guinness World Record holder to her list of accomplishments.

KaLea will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon completed while pushing a triple stroller. Her record attempt is a way to raise funds and awareness for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville through the Children’s Miracle Network.

The current world record is reportedly right around two hours and Lehman wants to run it somewhere between 1:45 – 1:50.

Children’s Hospital is very near and dear to KaLea’s heart. Her 5 year-old daughter Mia was only 3 weeks old when she was transported to Children’s Hospital by LifeFlight. Mia was sick with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), a respiratory virus that causes cold-like symptoms and can be fatal for infants. She spent 10 long days in the hospital fighting to get well.

The Guinness World record attempt and fundraising campaign is KaLea’s thank you to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Immaculate Conception School, and the amazing people that rallied around them during those very scary days.
