Modris Strauss, 74, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Modris was born on July 2, 1940 in Liepaja, Latvia to the late Arnolds Strauss and Irene Schneiders Strauss.
Memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the funeral home.
Modris was retired from the U.S. Navy and member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Modris is survived by his wife, Ginny Strauss of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Amanda (Tim) Sprague of Melbourne, FL and Kirsten (Ross) Tiemann of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Art (Paula) Strauss of Nashville, TN; sister, Sandra (Jerry) Richie of Georgetown, TX; and four grandchildren, Jacob Tiemann, Max Tiemann, Caleb Tiemann, and Emily Sprague.
